WE ARE TURNING 135!

As we approach the end of 2022 and our 135th year, we’d like to update you on the happenings at Chesed Shel Emeth Society and Beth Shalom Cemetery.

Can you believe Chesed Shel Emeth Society is heading into its 135th year? 135 years of caring for the needs of our community. As our community continues to evolve, so do our cemeteries. Our oldest cemetery at our University City location is showing its age and will be getting some much needed TLC. We have begun with painting the front gates and hope to continue painting the fencing as well.

Our long term projects such as leveling and/or replacing failing sidewalks, repairing the wall on the East side of the cemetery, and tree trimming and removal continue.

At our Chesterfield location, our Memorial Garden Project is moving forward. We installed our pathway and ordered the memorial wall. Three spots on the memorial wall have been purchased and spaces are limited. Contact the office to reserve your panel soon to be guaranteed a spot.

Beth Shalom Cemetery located within Chesed Shel Emeth in Chesterfield continues to flourish. Our newest section which allows the blended family and cremation burial allows us to better serve the entire greater Jewish community.

Your much needed contribution will help us better preserve our grounds at all of our locations. It will help us with indigent burial, burying genizah (holy objects), placing markers on the graves of children and infants, and assisting with capital improvement projects.  We are accepting donations through PayPal, and USPS.

Thank you for your continued support,
